Consett & District Golf course is an 18 hole, mature parkland course formed in 1911 and redesigned by Harry Vardon a few years later. A course review has recently been completed with the yardage now being 6083 yards. The course is set in 100 acres of the beautiful Derwent Valley on the county border between Durham and Northumberland.
The course offers an enjoyable experience for all ages and golfing abilities. Consett Golf Club has a reputation second to none for its friendly atmosphere and excellent bar and catering facilities. It is the perfect location to complete your day’s golf, have a meal, take some refreshment and enjoy the breath-taking views.

The recently refurbished Clubhouse offers excellent bar and catering facilities, a separate dining room, spacious lounge area with a panoramic view of the Derwent Valley and a golfer’s bar.
The Golf Club is also an excellent venue for all types of functions and is at present experiencing a “better than ever year” for bookings. The staff are experienced and friendly and our resident Chef has had nothing but praise for his catering and always uses local produce; all in all we feel that we have the best venue around to make every occasion a special one.

Although the course measures 6083 Yards from the white tees, 5906 Yards from the yellow and 5352 Yards from the red (Ladies) course management is a must, sometimes what appears to be a straight forward hole can be fraught with danger, so if you want to score well here be advised to view the hazards and contours of the course.
